Last updated: October 4, 2026
This policy explains how JobSearch123 (jobsearch123.com), a trading name of Canterbury Plasterers Ltd, collects, uses and protects personal information, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to quote99.com, houses99.com and jobsearch123.com, which share one membership.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), phone number if you add it, your city and state, and business details for business accounts.
- What you post: listings, photos, descriptions, messages, reviews and, on this Site, your resume, work history and job preferences, the jobs you save, the applications you send and, for employers, the jobs you post and the applications you receive.
- Technical data: IP address, approximate location from the IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and the date and time, used to run and secure the Site.
- Sign in with Google or Facebook: if you choose it, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from that provider. We never receive your password.
2. How we use it
- To run your account and show your listings, to deliver messages and notifications, and to provide support.
- To keep the Site safe: detecting fraud, spam and abuse, enforcing our terms and meeting legal obligations.
- To improve the Site using aggregated, non identifying statistics.
- To send emails about your account and activity (for example a new message or an application). We do not send marketing emails without your permission, and every optional email has an unsubscribe link.
3. Who we share it with
- Other members see what you choose to publish (for example your public profile and listings) and the messages you send them.
- Service providers who process data for us under contract: hosting, Cloudflare (security and delivery), Brevo (email delivery) and Google or Facebook if you use their sign in.
- Authorities when the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of members and the public.
- We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We show no third party advertising.
4. Cookies
We use only essential cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, an optional "remember me" cookie that lasts up to 30 days, and a security cookie that protects forms. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We honor Global Privacy Control signals.
5. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it (use Download my data on your account page);
- correct it (edit your account and listings);
- delete it (use Delete all my data on your account page, see how to delete your data);
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising (we do neither);
- appeal a decision we make about your request.
To use any right you can also open a support ticket. We answer within 45 days and will not treat you differently for using your rights. California residents: this section is our notice at collection under the CCPA. We collect the categories listed in section 1 for the purposes in section 2, we keep them as set out in section 6, and we have not sold or shared personal information in the past 12 months.
6. How long we keep it
We keep account information while your account is open. Listings are removed when you delete them or your account. When you delete your account we remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep some records for legal, tax or security reasons (for example records of fraud reports), which we keep only as long as needed.
7. Security
We protect information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
8. Children
The Site is not meant for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them, in line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, open a support ticket and we will delete it.
9. Changes and contact
If we make important changes to this policy we will tell members on the Site before they take effect. Questions or requests: open a support ticket.
